What are the benefits of being a member?

You will be linking up with an international group of professionals seeking to promote and explore the role of Language Awareness in research, education, and in the full development of socially aware individuals. In addition, the membership fee includes a subscription to the quarterly journal Language Awareness (the cheapest way to receive the journal). Members pay reduced conference fees at ALA conferences.

How do I join or renew?

Membership fees for 2010 are:

£22 GBP for individuals if paid before 28 February; £28 GBP from 1 March.
For full-time students, £15 GBP if paid before 28 February; £21 GBP from 1 March. Student applicants need to supply proof of status, and should email the Treasurer at LanguageAware@aol.com with an attachment showing the relevant documentation and await approval  before sending payment.

Payment methods:

Use your credit or debit card (choice depending on territory) via the Paypal system
OR
email LanguageAware@aol.com with your name and address asking for an application form in order to pay by sterling cheque or by bank transfer.

Please note that it is no longer possible to pay Association for Language Awareness directly by credit card.
